SCOTT MORRISON HIDES BEHIND MINISTERS IN QUESTION TIME
Scott Morrison is dodging questions and hiding behind his ministers in Question Time because he hates scrutiny and accountability.
New research by the House of Representatives Chamber Research Section shows Mr Morrison has refused to answer 189 of Labor’s Question Time questions since becoming leader – referring them to ministers because he’s incapable of taking responsibility.
This is not normal.
Malcolm Turnbull didn’t hide from questions. Tony Abbott didn’t hide from questions. John Howard didn’t hide from questions. Kevin Rudd didn’t hide from questions. And Julia Gillard never hid from a question in parliament - not once, as this research confirms.
Mr Morrison doesn’t answer journalists’ questions in press conferences. And he won’t answer Labor’s questions in parliament.
Mr Morrison is always there to take credit for good news, even when he’s had nothing to do with it. But when the questions get tough he hides behind his ministers.
When Labor asks him about one of his government’s many scandals or stuff-ups he passes the buck. When we ask him about the many announcements he’s failed to deliver on, he hides.
The Australian people deserve a prime minister who doesn’t run and hide whenever the going gets tough. A prime minister who takes responsibility and doesn’t flee the scene when there’s a job to be done.
