The average full-time worker is expected to be $2,100 worse off over the next four years due to wages growth downgrades in the Morrison Government’s mid-year Budget update.

As Australians head into 2020 too many are burdened by stagnant wages, sky-rocketing bills and record debt.

Wages growth has been downgraded in almost every Budget and Budget update since the Liberals came to office.

Even with these downgrades the Liberals have failed their own wages growth tests 33 times.

Just weeks ago the Reserve Bank confirmed the Liberals have achieved their goal of making stagnant wages the new normal and observed that “persistently low growth in household incomes continued to be a source of concern for the consumption outlook.”

Australian workers and businesses are paying the price for this Liberal-National Government’s six years of economic incompetence.

Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg have failed the basic test of coming up with a comprehensive plan to get the economy moving again.
